The Broken are from a torn world. They are armored to wage war against the unknown. That existence eats away at their souls slowly destroying them.

The funny thing about change is that it breaks us in order to make us whole. When we have been broken, we are told that our immediate task is to pick up the pieces, put them back together to the best of our ability and move on. So, what happens when our lives are shattered? How do you continue when you do not know how to put the pieces back together and moving on is sheer agony?

“The Broken” represent a journey of healing and redemption. My own journey began at the age of eleven when my father was killed in a plane crash. I had been living in a seemingly perfect world and that life was taken away from me. The is body of work references the pain I faced in dealing with the brokenness of the world in which we live, a world where I am still learning how to pick up the pieces and put them back together.
